Best Coffee Maker For Travel-The Top 5 To Hit the Road With!
Are you looking for a second brewer to support your always-away lifestyle? Does it need to compliment your camper, boat, or lodge? If you are part of the RV-owning demographic that enjoys fresh-brewed coffee and not having to stop at a convenience store to grab some (especially if you don’t anticipate coming up on one for awhile!) having your own maker would be great – and one that’s smaller would be more likely to have a lower power wattage so you wouldn’t have to concern yourself with a circuit breaker overload due to other appliances being in use.
I read an interesting blog post the other day that talked about how not just travel – but permanent living – in an RV is on the rise….And it may continue as well. Which leads me to produce this collection. These include coffee makers and travel mug combinations, coffee makers made with travel in mind, and lightweight, or lower-wattage, designs
These 5 coffee makers will let you hit the road, hassle free….. I’ve also included power amounts for all you RVers out there as well.
Black & Decker Brew N’ Go Coffeemaker
Black and Decker Brew N’ Go Single Serve Coffee Maker With Travel Mug
This baby is ideal for commuter coffee lovers as well as busy travelers…by virtue of its size, weight and function. It includes a nicely made 15 oz travel mug that is designed to fit into most standard vehicle cupholders…very much like its name implies, it dispenses your hot java straight into the waiting mug, and has auto-shutoff so you can take it and take off with no worries whatsoever.
It comes with a reusable permafilter that you can empty out and rinse after each use. If you wish to also use paper filters in addition, we encourage you to choose the #2 cone size.
Measurements: 10.2″ ht 7″ w and 6.9″ d and weight of 3 lbs.
Travel mug dimensions: 5.25 ” ht –It’s tapered near the bottom to be able to fit vehicle cup holders universally with a bottom diameter of 2.5″.
Clearance (if you want to use other travel mugs) 5.25″, diameter of base 3.5″. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can remove the drip tray.
Wattage: 800 watts
Ultimate 2 in 1 by Mixpresso Single Cup Brewer with Travel Mug
Another great combo brewer and mug – this too, will become one you don’t want to leave home without. The design is pretty similar to this one I included in my “no pods needed” lineup, except that it doesn’t come in the pretty color options besides the black one shown. The included mug holds 14 oz and is sturdy enough to fit or go anywhere.

Mixpresso Single Serve Coffee Maker K Cup Compatible Travel Brewer
Mixpresso Compact Single Serve Brewer
A standup coffeemaker that won’t let you down – with compact size, lightweight, and attractive design; it’s very much like a competitor brewer I mentioned here – but one plus it has over it is that it will accept all your refillable K-cups. it doesn’t have a reservoir per se, but can accommodate up to 12 oz of water.
You can easily fit a travel mug up to 16 oz in the space provided. With an average brew time of 3-5 minutes, you can get a hot and satisfying cup of joe to take with you anywhere you need to.

Primula Brew Buddy – Bring Your Own Cup 🙂
I hesitated at first to include this as it’s not so much a coffee maker per-se…..but in actuality, it is….Although it’s more of a device. Mug is not included…..it’s a device that will let you brew yourself a hot tasty cup of joe from anywhere you are coming or going, all by placing the ring shaped device over your cup and then putting the desired amount of grounds into the mesh filter insert.
Primula PCBR-0146 Red Coffee Brew Buddy (Pack of 2)Primula Single Serve Coffee Brew Buddy – Ideal for Travel, Reusable Mesh Filter
Some people like this thing so much they got additional ones for gifts and other family members too! I know what you may be thinking:Â this thing looks kinda goofy – can it really make coffee?? As they say don’t judge a book by its cover, try it and see for yourself!
Manual Coffee Brewer for K-Cups. Brew Coffee Anywhere, Where You Have Hot Water!
Portable Manual Coffee Press For K- Cups
Don’t hit the road without this….and don’t forget to take your pod collection, too! This device works with your own motion and hot water. to produce the perfect cup. As long as you are able to acquire hot water, you’ll be in business whether camping or lodging.
The premise is pretty unique: You take your own cup (err on the side of smaller; it’s not made for travel mugs) and insert into the cavity at the bottom. The k-cup is inserted into the chamber area above the cup and water is poured into the tube part of the chamber.
It does have markings for different sizes (6, 8, and 10 oz) To brew, you depress the chamber (slowly for best results). Sounds pretty wild, but it works – there’s a 2 year manufacturer warranty on it as well.
Weight: 1.2 lbs
Dimensions: 8.5″ by 6.3″ by 8.5″.
Well, that’s my lineup….check ’em out and let me know what you think!
